The Central Peninsula Hospital Diabetes Center provides education, self-management support, and ongoing care for patients living with Type 1, Type 2, gestational diabetes, and pre-diabetes.

Services

  • Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) — Certified diabetes educator-led classes
  • Medical Nutrition Therapy — Individualized meal planning and carbohydrate counting
  • Insulin Pump Training — Setup, training, and ongoing management
  • Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) Education — Dexcom and Libre training
  • Pre-diabetes Prevention Program — Lifestyle modification to prevent diabetes progression

Group Meetups & Support Groups

We host regular Type 1 Diabetes Group Meetups for adults in the Central Kenai Peninsula.
Who: Adults living with Type 1 Diabetes, family members, and caregivers.
Location: Kenai River Room (located near the CPH main lobby).
Details: A safe, open space to share experiences, discuss management strategies, and connect with other adults living with T1D.
